Crossrail is the biggest construction project in Europe and is one of the largest single infrastructure investments undertaken in the UK.
Construction of the Crossrail project began at North Dock in Canary Wharf on 15 May 2009. Eight years on, the project has employed over 15,000 people across more than 40 worksites throughout London and the southeast and completed over 100 million hours of work.
We have made significant progress in our construction programme constructing the tunnels and underground station spaces and are now over 80% complete.
Visit one of our construction sites or exhibition for Open Doors to learn more about the Crossrail project, what it's like to work in the construction industry, and advice on where to go for further information.
