VolkerFitzpatrick has begun work on an exciting new scheme to design and construct Network Rail’s new Meridian Water Station. The station is part of London’s major ‘Meridian Water’ regeneration programme and is expected to accommodate up to 4 million passengers, over the next 20 years.
Meridian Water Station will have a sleek, modern design, three platforms, lift access, a footbridge and a retail space.
Construction began in November 2017 and the initial works are progressing well. The station is due be completed in 2019 and the station will replace the current Angel Road station in Edmonton, London.
When you arrive at the site, you will be greeted by our receptionist, who will direct you to the presentation room.
One of our on-site team will give you an inside look at the project, including BIM (Building Information Modelling) graphics, to show what the station will look like during different stages of the build.
You will also get to hear what it’s like to work on a construction site and learn about the types of roles required for a project like this.
After a safety briefing and induction you will head out for a tour of part of the site* to see the early stages of the works and progress to date.
You will be given the opportunity to ask your tour guide any questions you may have about the project, the site or what it’s like to work in the construction industry.
Please note that booking is essential for this site. We will not be able to admit visitors on the day without a pre-booked place.
*Please note that appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times whilst on-site. The site will provide this on arrival. Please ensure you wear sturdy, flat footwear.
