The project is to replace the bearings to the abutments and half joint of an 11 span bridge carrying the M2 motorway over the Junction 5 slip roads, the A249 and Maidstone Road.
The bridge is a maximum of 22m above ground level requiring the use of a large steel frame to prop up the deck during the works.
Visitors will be welcomed to site and invited to view a short presentation about the project, including a time lapse video of the large steel frame being erected.
Visitors will climb up scaffolding (using stair cases not ladders) to see where the bridge is being lifted on jacks. If lucky they may see a jacking operation or concrete repairs being poured.
