The project involves the relocation of two existing schools merging into one Super School on the existing site:

1. Groes Primary School.

2. Dyffryn Upper and Lower Schools.

Its primary function will be to provide an all through educational facility for:

• 1200 Secondary Pupils (Age 11 to 18).

• 210 Primary Pupils (Age 4 to 11).

• 45 Nursery Pupils.

Ysgol Cwm Brombil (the working name was Ysgol Newydd Margam) will provide state of the art 21st Century educational facilities that will be available for community use out of school hours.

By March 2018 the mains external building works will be largely completed with internals works and some ground works ongoing.

Visitors will meet in the site offices, be given an introduction to the project, a Health & Safety briefing, issued with Personal Protetcive Equipment before going on the site tour.

The development is spread over 3 floors, so expect a lot of walking and stairs to climb. This is still a live construction site.

Questions and answers will be allowed throughout and after the tour.

This is also an opportunity to out about the range of careers in the modern construction industry
