The new school development is being built as part of the 21st Century Schools Programme – the collaboration between Welsh Government and Pembrokeshire County Council. The school is one of five new schools currently under construction in Pembrokeshire under the £120 million initiative.
The new school represents the first ever investment in Welsh language secondary education in this particular part of the county.
The project includes :
• 45-place nursery
• 315-place primary provision
• 600-place secondary school
• 24-place playgroup (Cylch Meithrin).
Also included are an all-weather sports pitch and associated facilities.
Willmott Dixon's Legacy project is the renovation of the Creche play area at Withybush Hospital.
Site works include:
An extensive cut and fill exercise, which included 35,000m3 cut.
A 140m retaining wall, with intensive water proofing details.
First phase is the primary wing, rectory and hall
Second phase is the secondary wing.
