The project comprises the design and construction of a 4 story RC building with split level entrance. Plant is located on the roof top and within a rear service yard. The Quadram Institute will integrate the current Institute of Food Research (IFR) and the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH) gastrointestinal endoscopy facility, with research teams from the University of East Anglia (UEA) Science Faculty and Medical School. The creation of the Quadram Institute underlines the collaboration of the four founding partners and reflects its strategy to work across four research themes: the gut and the microbiome (the gut flora); healthy ageing; food innovation; and food safety.
