Ely Southern Bypass

VolkerFitzpatrick - A Division of VolkerWessels UK Contact

The Ely southern bypass will be a 1.7 km long single carriageway road, connecting the A142 at Angel Drove to Stuntney Causeway.

The £35 million project will include a viaduct crossing the River Great Ouse and bridges over two railway lines. There will also be a walkway attached to the bridge, linking the Fen Rivers Way and Ouse Valley Way footpaths together, to provide a new circular walking route for residents and visitors.

When you arrive at the site, you will be greeted by our receptionist, who will direct you to the presentation room.

One of our on-site team will give you an inside look at the project, describing the works taking place and plans for developing the bypass between now and summer 2018.

You’ll also get to hear what it’s like to work on a construction site and learn about the types of roles required for a project like this.

You’ll then receive a safety briefing and induction, before heading out for a tour of parts of the site*.

After the tour, you’ll be given the opportunity to ask your tour guide any questions you may have about the project, the site or what it’s like to work in the construction industry.

Please note that booking is essential for this site. We will not be able to admit visitors on the day, without a booking.
