The Clydeside Distillery

McLaughlin & Harvey Contact

Main contractor McLaughlin & Harvey started on-site in August, with the centre due to open around September 2017 for the construction of a new whisky distillery and visitor centre, which has been tipped to bring 60,000 visitors to Glasgow.

The Clydeside Distillery project encompasses two key strands – the restoration of Glasgow’s iconic pump house building, which sits between the SECC and the Riverside Museum and which will host the visitor centre – and the creation of a modern distillery to sit alongside it.

As well as a visitor centre, the revamped site will also feature a café, shop and offer distillery tours.

The work is being carried out for client Morrison Glasgow Distillers.

The visitors will see the old pump house restored with fit out progressing and the new distillery with the plant installed.

Information on the project and detail of careers in construction will also be detailed.
