Morgan Sindall Contact

A Carillion Morgan Sindall joint venture has been appointed to undertake the construction of the A6 to Manchester Airport Relief Road by Stockport Council and its partners, Manchester City Council, Cheshire East Council and Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM).

The scheme will provide 10 kilometres of new 2-lane dual carriageway on an east-west route from the A6 near Hazel Grove (south east Stockport), via the 4 kilometres of existing A555 to Manchester Airport and the link road to the M56.

The construction of the relief road will help improve traffic movement in heavily-congested districts and local centres, ensuring that all residents and businesses are able to travel with ease around the region in order to access the commercial and employment opportunities that local economic growth and developments such as Airport City may offer.

When you arrive on site you will be directed to our Induction Room where a member of our team will give you a scheme presentation and update on current works.

You will also be able to speak with members of our team about their roles on the project and learn about the kind of roles required to deliver a project of this size.

There will be a series of short video clips using our Mission Room that show activities around site and we will finish off by giving you a safety briefing.
