Set behind the Jubilee Gardens on the River Thames and adjacent to the London Eye, Southbank Place is one of London’s most high profile new landmark developments.

The development will consist of residential apartments, office space, new retail and leisure facilities across a total of seven new buildings, with the landmark Shell Centre Tower remaining at the front centre of the site. Developers Canary Wharf Group and Qatari Diar have joined together to deliver this vision in collaboration with some of the world’s leading architects and designers. 2.4 acres of new public realm will run through the development, providing a lasting legacy for the future. There will also be a central public square that will become the vibrant focal point of the development. It will be home to public art, events and exhibitions, restaurants and coffee shops to complement the existing rich cultural offering of the South Bank.

Members of the project team will provide a ‘behind-the-scenes’ insight into the Southbank Place development including the overall masterplan, construction planning and challenges, sustainability & environmental management and the types of careers available.  This will be followed by an opportunity to go for a guided tour of the site to get a first-hand experience of what it takes to deliver a mega project in the heart of London.
