Willmott Dixon are in the final stages of their second project for the University of Kent, delivering a new building that will be used by the School of Economics. The new space will provide a stronger visual focus, identity and community for the School. In particular, space which is open to all the School’s students will for the first time, allow its undergraduate students a physical presence within that community. The building will provide the School with a modern, identifiable home.

Ready for the start of the 2019-20 academic year, the building will house improved facilities for students and staff, such as social spaces, meeting rooms and an IT suite. Two floors of one wing will house shared teaching space and the rest of the building will be dedicated for the School’s use.

We will kick-start your visit with a brief site induction and presentation before kitting you out in protective clothing and taking you onto site.

The building is almost finished so this is your opportunity to get a sneak peek of the some of the fantastic teaching and communal spaces before it is handed back to the University of Kent for fit out.

At the end of the tour there will also be an opportunity to play with our interactive gaming software which brings the building to life on your screen.

In addition to the tour, we will have a few our Management Trainees on hand to give you an insight into our great Trainee programme and the exciting diverse roles within construction. Ever thought about a career in construction? Let us know!

We look forward to seeing you there.
