The Croydon & Lewisham Street Lighting PFI is a 25 year project that commenced in 2011, and saw the replacement of over 50,000 street lights during the first five years. Now in the maintenance phase of the project which will run until 2036, visitors will get the chance to see what goes on behind the scenes of a multi million pound street lighting project. There will be the opportunity to speak with our electrical engineers, have hands on demonstrations of the lighting equipment and the instruments used to maintain them.
Visitors will get demonstrations of the remote monitoring system that is used to control the street lights via a computer system.
