VolkerHighways has been working with Medway Council since 2007 and is delivering their current highways infrastructure contract.

The works include planned and responsive maintenance, including carriageway and footway resurfacing, winter maintenance, drainage cleansing and road markings. The team is also working on Medway’s street lighting as well as capital schemes to improve and enhance the council’s existing network.

Please arrive five minutes before the start of your visit and congregate in the reception area at the depot. This will be clearly signposted on the day.

One of our on-site team will give you an inside look at the contract and the type of work we do.

You’ll also get to hear what it’s like to work in the construction industry and learn about the types of roles required within a highways term maintenance contract like this.

There will then be a short safety briefing and induction, before you head out for a walk around one of our sites*.

*Full personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times whilst on-site. This will be provided by the site team. If you have your own safety boots please wear them, or let us know your size requirement when booking.
