The Carnegie Teaching and Research building, at the university’s Headingley Campus, will be home to students and academics from the Carnegie School of Sport.

The £45m building will be a base for the school’s undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes and will provide a hub for the elite athletes who use the university’s sports performance expertise. One of the main features will be a 60m covered rooftop running track, along with an environmental chamber which can mimic different altitudes and environments

A two part visit, including a tour around the site with opportunities to ask questions, followed by a short presentation in the site cabins detailing the project, site and subcontractor staff.

Access via Church Wood Avenue, inform the gate keeper you are here for the Galliford Try Open Doors event. You will be directed to the bottom of the campus where you will see the Galliford Try site hoarding and a member of staff will direct you to the site cabins.
