GTP has been appointed by LMH as the contractor to build 145 affordable homes on one of Liverpool’s main arterial routes into the City Centre, Edge Lane. The landmark scheme will see the 1.5-hectare plot bounded by Royston Street, Durning Road, Marmaduke Street and Edge Lane transformed into high-quality housing. Work started in March 2018 with anticipated completion in 2020.

The £20 million scheme incorporates two elements; three and four storey properties facing Edge Lane, offering 107 one and two-bed apartments available for Rent to Buy. Also, facing Royston Street, 38 attractive two and three-bed houses available for Shared Ownership.

Bowker Sadler Architecture has designed the scheme, which will see each home benefitting from off-road car and cycle parking spaces, private amenity areas and high-quality fixtures and fittings throughout.

Chris Bowen, Managing Director at LMH Developments, said: "We are extremely pleased to be working with Galliford Try Partnerships to deliver ‘The Approach’ on Edge Lane. This signature project will contribute significantly to the exciting transformation underway in this part of the city and provide a range of high quality low-cost home-ownership choices for local people."

After a warm welcome to the site and arefreshments,  there will be a short presentation on Galliford Try Partnerships, the site and the social impact that we are making in the local area.

There will be site personnel and site operatives in the room who will be sharing their personal experiences in the Construction Industry and how they have achieved their present positions. These will include Apprentices who are working on the site.

Depending upon the weather, hopefully it will be a dry day, we can have a walk around the site and see how the all of the trades work to make a sucessful working site.

We will then return to the site office for questions and answers.
