About UCL East Marshgate

UCL Marshgate – Phase 1 is part of a wider development scheme on East Marshgate campus.

Phase 1 of the project is to create a new 34,940 sq m (GIA) world class academic facility that provides a highly flexible education and research facility on a new east London Campus site.

The new Marshgate Project comprises the following elements:

- Single storey basement housing cycle storage and MEP plant rooms

- 10 storey concrete frame & 2 storey steel frame plant deck

- Internal fit out of high spec technical teaching spaces

- Local remodelling of the public realm to Thornton Street.

The site tour will take visitors to a unique experience within UCL East Marshgate. All visitors will be required to wear PPE, walk around the site and see operatives at work carrying out different jobs. They will enter the future campus where they will see the project shaping. They will be taken to the top floor to then go down to the others and see the difference between the floors. They will then be shown the CAVE, one of the technology tools we have on site.

Information on Open Doors 2022 will be released shortly
