The site is located within City of London and is bounded by Leadenhall, Billiter and Fenchurch Streets. The client is Vanquish Properties UK and the project at 40 Leadenhall Street will be 900,000ft2 floor space of office and retail space. The project comprises two towers, of which the South core rises to level 15 and the North rising to level 37. These are to consist of flexible CAT A office space, rooftop plantrooms, Ground floor retail space and reception entrances, with a restaurant located on level 13/14 of the South tower. The three-storey basement predominantly consists of plant areas and services distribution, a loading bay area, bicycle storage and shower areas.
The site is occupied by six buildings varying in height from five to eight storeys. These existing Buildings will be demolished making way for the new development noted above. However, No. 11 to 20 Billiter will not be demolished, and will be refurbished as part of the new works.
Mace is the principal contractor as of March 2020 and completion is planned for September 2023.

All visitors are required to wear PPE and will be shown around the project, from the ground floor to the basement and up to the roof. During the Open Doors week we are expecting the project to be up to Level 22, and visitors will be able to see various aspects of the project including basement plant modules, site welfare facilities, hoist apparatus, and operatives at work carrying out different tasks.
