The layout of the new Hub building is provided with open plan public spaces at ground floor with open plan office areas to the first and second floor. The working area is intended to provide the maximum flexibility of layout. The building is provided with a central stair and lift core on the front elevation, whilst to the rear will be found the ancillary cores containing toilets, showers and plant areas. This allows the open plan office areas to extend the full length of the building. Careful consideration of the building structure has allowed for the reduction of internal columns with the majority hidden within the structure.
Main frame complete, with floor slabs poured and building envelope almost complete and fully watertight.
The roof is complete and roof plant installed, with almost all glazing installed and render and cladding ongoing.
Internally, walls are almost complete, with skimming commenced, initial decoration started, along with M&E well under way.
Externally ground preparation is underway for the new car park and external landscaping.
Activities due to commence shortly are finishing trades – flooring, ceilings, joinery, etc.
