Construction of a new 3-storey science block is completed. The current phase is external and internal refurbishment of a 1927 locally listed building within a live school.
The building was once an elite Grammar school, the building was constructed by a local Derby architect and although looks to be brick, it is actually a steel frame building with a Westmorland slate roof and copper cupolas. The internal walls are made Caferatta block, which is of unusual construction, local to Newark.
