Blackwall Reach is a housing-led, mixed-use and mixed tenure regeneration project from Swan Housing Association in partnership with the London Borough of Tower Hamlets (LBTH) and the Greater London Authority (GLA). Situated within an area of social deprivation, the £600m regeneration of Blackwall Reach is one of London’s most ambitious regeneration projects. The scheme is positively transforming a previously neglected 8-hectare urban area in the East End of London.
Formerly part of Robin Hood Gardens Estate, Blackwall Reach is replacing 252 existing residential units, car parks and warehouses with 1,575 new homes, 50% of which are affordable. The project is entirely self-funded; the affordable and social rented homes, as well as the community benefits, are cross-funded from the sale of private homes being built at Blackwall Reach.
Phase 2, Parkside West, is currently on-site. It will deliver 268 new mixed tenure homes (154 private, 15 shared ownership and 99 social rent) within the heart of this dynamic regeneration. The one, two and three-bedroom apartments and duplexes, start from £420,000 and will offer an exceptional standard of living. With a diverse range of typology and flexible layouts, each apartment has outstanding views over a newly landscaped central park Millennium Green and/or the city.
Visitors will be brought onto site via the project office compound where they will receive a short presentation providing a site overview and details of current work activities being undertaken. The presentation will be followed by a walk around the construction area to demonstrate the current works being undertaken on the external façades and/or internal fit out.
Covid-19 restrictions will be put in place if government advice changes to necessitate this/organisation have the right to cancel the event if it is deemed to be Covid-unsafe to go ahead.
Information on Open Doors 2022 will be released shortly
