We acquired 9 Millbank and Ergon House in 2012, both were occupied by government offices. We received planning permission in 2014 and started construction on them in 2018 when we received vacant possession of the buildings.

By 2022, Ergon House will be replaced with a new residential building, whilst the adjacent Gatehouse on Dean Bradley Street will be refurbished. 9 Millbank will be retained and refurbished. The two buildings will be linked with a beautiful garden courtyard.

On the sixth and seventh floors of the building on Horseferry Road, there will be a beautiful piece of public art, set back on a plinth, helping to create a strong sense of identity for the building. The historic Gatehouse next to Ergon House will also be refurbished.

Ergon House:

Having taken care to retain and protect the Gatehouse, demolition of the Ergon House superstructure is almost complete. In February 2019 we will achieve another milestone of the project as we begin construction in the basement areas.

We will replace our original tower crane towards the end of January 2019 to better enable the next phase of construction works.

March 2019 should see all demolition works complete.

9 Millbank:

We are continuing to assess how best to clean and refurbish the stunning façade of this building and specialists are reviewing the windows, ready for Westminster Council to inspect our refurbishment process in the new year.

Internally, we have protected heritage elements while we strip out the modern additions to the building. We are continuing our surveys, to ensure we have captured all the unique elements of this building.

Externally, we should complete our scaffolding and hoarding prior to the Christmas break, restoring the more pleasing appearance.

Other News:

We will be opening our Sales and Marketing Suite on the ground floor of 9 Millbank in early Spring 2019. This comprises a two bedroom apartment plus marketing suite to enable our customers and guests to really understand the look and feel of the apartments we are creating.

Construction is well underway with the team nearing completion on the mechanical and electrical items before interior design can begin.
