About Hope Valley Railway Upgrade: Dore & Totley

VolkerRailStory are currently working in Dore & Totley to install and extend rail track, a second platform and a new, accessible footbridge as part of the Hope Valley Railway Upgrade, which will remove bottlenecks along the Hope Valley line to increase the reliability of passenger journeys.

Visitors will be given a presentation at the project's site office by a member of the project team, to provide an overview of the work and an insight into railway engineering. They will be given PPE to change into, before walking by foot (approx. 20 minute walk) to where the team are carrying out earthworks next to the railway line at West View Lane. Here, they will be talked through the work by a member of the site team.

Information on Open Doors 2023 will be released shortly
