Willmott Dixon Interiors (WDI) was appointed to carry out the Cat A refurbishment and fit-out of the landmark commercial office building, Riverside House. The high-profile building is located adjacent to Southwark Bridge and fronts onto the River Thames.
The project is phased to enable the building to remain live and occupied throughout the works. This includes the ground floor restaurant occupants (Zizzi, EAT and The Real Greek), and office tenant Ofcom which occupies part of the ground floor and floors 1-4.
Project scope includes: part remodelling of lower ground to include new cycle storage, showers, toilets and changing facilities; remodelling of mezzanine floor to form the new double-height reception and waiting area; part remodelling of the ground floor to form the new entrance, reception, waiting area, lobby, bridge link and associated facade works; and infilling the atrium from level 5 to the roof.
The building will be extended to include new curtain walling on levels 8, 9, 10 and 11, new terrace balconies on levels 8, 9 and 10, and Cat A fit-out on floors 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11.
