About VolkerStevin - West Kirby Flood Alleviation Scheme
West Kirby Flood Alleviation Scheme – Wirral Council is working with the Environment Agency, Designers are AECOM and Contractor of works VolkerStevin. Scheme involves the construction of a 1.1 km long curved flood defence wall along South Parade. Separating South Parade and properties situated on it from potentially damaging flood waters. Also upgrading public realm, new paving and highway on South Parade and refurbishment of the Old Bath site and an introduction of a dedicated cycle path.
Activity
The site visit will include a presentation with an overview of the project. Followed by talks from our key members of the team working on the project, on what their roles are and how they got into construction. The visit will finish with a quick tour of the site.
