About Institute of Neurology (IoN) and Dementia Research Institute (DRI)

ISG has been appointed as the main contractor for University College London’s (UCL) development to create a world leading centre for neurological research. The centre will bring together clinicians and research teams from different disciplines to tackle the neurodegenerative conditions that give rise to dementia, now the leading cause of death in England and Wales.
The new biomedical facility at 256 Gray’s Inn Road will host the central hub of UK Dementia Research Institute (UK DRI) and the University’s leading Queen Square Institute of Neurology (IoN), which will include an NHS Neurology out-patient facility for University College London Hospitals

Activity

At this stage of the project we will be putting up plasterboard walls, building services, and this will mean we are in the fit out stage, with the façade also starting around this time.

Visitors will see a very busy site with a vast range of subcontractors on site carrying out a variety of different skilled tasks.
