About Halifax Bus Station

Our town centre regeneration experts are delivering a new interchange in Halifax town centre that will improve safety, comfort, connectivity and accessibility for local people.

Delivered for West Yorkshire Combined Authority in partnership with Calderdale Council, it includes refurbishing the existing bus station including a new “green roof”, which will be covered in plants, adding to the bus station’s environmental credentials.

Willmott Dixon has also made a pledge to create 20 well-paid, skilled green jobs across the region by 2025 supporting the commitment of Tracy Brabin, Mayor of West Yorkshire to create 1,000 new local green skilled jobs.
