Development of Silverwood School. The project involves extending the existing Rowde Campus to provide a high-quality SEND school campus for 350 special needs pupils (aged 4 to 9 years) including the construction of a new two storey education building with staff facilities, teaching classrooms, hydrotherapy pool, main hall, new playing fields, on-site parking, landscaping, ecological enhancements (minimum BNG 14%) and associated works.

The project will be net zero carbon in operation.

The site has limited access and significant ecology that needs to be managed carefully.

Activity

The visit will include a brief presentation on Willmott Dixon and the project itself, followed by a safety briefing and tour of the site.

Following the tour there will be a short presentation on careers in construction led by a management trainee for those that may be interested.
