King’s Cross P2 is being delivered as part of the 67 acre King’s Cross Masterplan redevelopment, designed to complete a key area of the developing neighbourhood and to complement and integrate with the existing public realm. The building is situated on the corner of Handyside Street and Wollstonecraft Street, adjacent to Lewis Cubitt Square (to the east) and London’s new shopping destination Coal Drops Yard and Gasholders London to the south.
Acting as a backdrop to the public Lewis Cubitt Square, P2 is a mixed-use commercial development built to CAT A fit-out and offering nine floors of flexible office space. The double-height ground floor features a mezzanine level, with a large flexible retail unit at street level to the south, further expanding the Coal Drops Yard complex, and a 600-seat theatre for the London Theatre Company with associated bar and an auditorium capable of a variety of staging configurations.
The 12-story building has been designed to BREEAM Excellent standards with dedicated cycle access and a large cycle parking facility, with space for 238 bicycles, as well as lockers, showers and a drying room.
