About University of West of England SAP3
The project comprises the delivery of 900 bedroom student accommodation spread over 3 multistorey blocks. When complete the project will be the largest Passivhaus residential scheme in the UK. This is achieved by providing incredibly airtight and energy efficient buildings with very low energy consumption. Previous old accommodation stock was demolished to allow for the development which is located right in the heart of the UWE teaching and student accommodation areas of the Filton Campus. Each block also has various communal areas providing cafeteria, laundry, study and break out areas along with student welfare facilities. The project is the latest example of ongoing construction works on the campus and continued investment by the University.
