About Albion Square Demolition & Asbestos Hull
The Albion Square Demolition project involves the demolition of an existing BHS and COOP building in the city centre of Hull. Whilst asbestos removal has been carried out by Hull City Council previously, a considerable amount of asbestos contamination remains and will be removed during this demolition phase.
The BHS building also provides a Grade II listed mural that will be retained throughout the Demolition phase.
Following on from the Demolition it is anticipated that a New Build scheme will continue in place of the recently demolished building
Activity
Demolition of the existing building including asbestos contaminated floor slabs. Enabling works to retain the grade II-listed mural will also be in progress.
