The project at 111 Buckingham Avenue involves the construction of a state-of-the-art data centre for our client, SEGRO.
This facility will feature three floors designed to accommodate modern data infrastructure. The scope of work includes extensive groundworks, the installation of a steel frame structure, application of metal cladding sheets, and the construction of a durable flat roof.
Concrete pours are being carried out to form the core structural elements, and a sleek curtain walling system is being installed to enhance the building’s exterior. Additionally, we are constructing a lift shaft to facilitate the movement of passengers and goods within the facility.
This project is a key development in supporting SEGRO’s commitment to providing high-quality data centre infrastructure in a prime location.
Several key activities will be taking place on-site to advance the construction of the data centre.
The works planned include the installation of power to the goods lift. Fire safety measures will be a significant focus, with fire intumescent spraying and fire stopping being carried out to enhance the building’s fire resistance.
Additionally, work on the roof will progress with the installation of a green/brown roof insulation system, contributing to the facility’s sustainability features. Open plant roof works will also be underway, along with the installation of vertical walls to the open plant roof, ensuring the structural and functional elements of the roof area are completed.
These activities mark critical steps in the project’s development.
