About the event
Kier Transportation were appointed by Transport for London to take responsibility for the maintenance of their road runnels and highway pump stations. Blackwell Tunnel is one of the tunnels covered under the contract. Our responsibilities include mechanical, electrical and control activities associated with each tunnel, renewals, safety inspections, intelligent transport systems (ITS) and cleaning.
The aim of this contract is to support TfL to tackle some of the biggest challenges its transport network faces, including reducing road danger and congestion. The works will also ensure that TfL’s road network can continue to support millions of journeys across the capital each day.
Activities
Can arrange the on shift Blackwall tunnel Supervisor to also run through the Tunnels/pumps SCADA Maintenance/Operational control display and our TfL client CCTV network systems, how these are operated/used for our maintenance and day to day operations.
Any site visits will need to be coordinated prior to visit with sufficient notice (2 weeks or more).
