About the event
Galliford Try East Midlands has been appointed to design and build this new primary school in Leicester as part of the DfE Medium Value Framework. Catherine Infant School is a 420-place mainstream primary school with 10 Designated Special Provision places.
The new two-storey building will replace the existing OFSTED Outstanding school, which will be demolished as part of the contract following decant.
The project, designed to be Net Zero Carbon in Operation, will deliver an Urban Greening Factor of 3.5, new car parking, access to play space directly from the classrooms, a MUGA to the north of the site, solar PV and green roof.
Activities
There will be a short presentation about the business and the project, a site visit and a chance to ask questions. Depending on the group, there may a chance for take part in an interactive activity before the site visit.
