About the event

Set to become one of the city’s most sustainable offices, EDGE London Bridge is both innovative in design and imaginative in its scope.

The project, located just across the road from London Bridge Station, sees Mace return to the area, following our work on the nearby Shard and Shard Place. The vision for the site – developed by EDGE, in partnership with Goldman Sachs Asset Management and their funding partners, LPPI and the London Fund – is to create benefit for the general public, as well as the building’s occupants. This building is not just another development project; it’s a tangible example of the partners’ joint commitment to building sustainably and being inclusive to the community.

The focus on ESG is reflected in many aspects of the project. One of the most visible outcomes of this will be a spacious park area located next to the building, adding a much-needed green space to the district. As well as providing amenity to the public, the park will bring biodiversity benefits too. This is also the thinking behind the large green terrace to be installed on the roof of the development, which provides areas for occupants to take time out from their work. They can also look forward to a gym, tenants’ club and a ground-floor coffee bar.

Those using the building will enjoy healthy, fresh air courtesy of underfloor ventilation, and with floor-to-ceiling windows natural light will flood in too – often cited as an important workplace factor for employees. The facades will balance areas of light and shade to avoid unwanted thermal gains and losses.

With an aim to be the most sustainable office tower in London, EDGE London Bridge is targeting BREEAM Outstanding and WELL Platinum certification. Its energy consumption is due to exceed the operational intensity targets for new-build offices set out in the RIBA 2030 Climate Challenge and is in fact targeting “Paris Proof” occupation for its tenants – aligning with 2050 goals from day one.

EDGE London Bridge is due to open for business in Q1 2026.
