About the event
The project consists of the design and construction of the Albion Square redevelopment project in Hull City Centre.
This comprises of the demolition of an existing BHS building with retention of the Grade II listed 3 Ships Mural. A new mixed-use building will then be constructed.
The project also involves the construction of a new Community Diagnostics Centre for the NHS. This will include new MRI scanners, X-ray machines and CT scanners.
The existing BHS building is undergoing asbestos removal prior to demolition.
Foundation works are ongoing for the new CDC building.
Activities
Visitors will be welcomed to the project within an initial introduction and briefing of about the project before being toured around the work areas. They will see the enabling works for the 3 Ships Mural retention and piling / foundation works for the new CDC building.
