About the event

Weir Mill located in the heart of Stockport for developer Capital & Centric, include the restoration of the mill buildings and the construction of two new buildings to create a thriving new community in the town.

The Grade II listed former cotton mill will feature a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments, as well as 24,000 sq ft of commercial space across the existing and new buildings. The adjoining West Shed is intended as a relaxed and flexible co-working space, set amongst the amazing brick vaulted ceilings.

The designs incorporate spaces for independent businesses, such as shops, café-bars or delis, as well as a public space looking out across the River Mersey. The riverside zone, which would include a pontoon, could be used as a venue for street markets, DJ sets and live music events.
