Murphy are undertaking works on this contract as Principal Contractor for Orsted (formerly DONG Energy). The scheme is part of the Hornsea One project, a 400 / 220 kV Offshore Windfarm. Our project is to install the Onshore Cabling required to facilitate the windfarm. The site is a linear 'cross country' construction project.

The project consists of a 38km high voltage buried cable installation.  The scope involves site establishment, rights of way management, topsoil strip, haul road construction, trench excavation, cable installation, backfill, jointing support and reinstatement between the landfall and the substation.  There are a number of watercourse crossings and horizontal directional drilling sites required as part of the works. Visitors to the site will see large scale plant operations, excavation techniques, lifting operations and cable installation.
