Open Doors Partners
Open Doors will be delivered by Build UK, in partnership with CITB (under the banner of Go Construct) and in association with Considerate Constructors Scheme, Department for Work & Pensions, and Careers & Enterprise Company.
Go Construct is an industry-wide initiative that aims to attract, inform and retain a talented workforce for the Construction and Built Environment sector. Funded by the CITB levy and facilitated by CITB, Go Construct is designed by industry for industry.
CITB is the Industry Training Board and a partner in the Sector Skills Council for the construction industry in England, Scotland and Wales. Representing every part of our industry, we shape how training is delivered and funded to meet the UK construction sector’s evolving needs.
Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is responsible for welfare, pensions and child maintenance policy. As the UK’s biggest public service department it administers the State Pension and a range of working age, disability and ill health benefits to around 20 million claimants and customers.
Considerate Constructors Scheme
The Considerate Constructors was founded in 1997 by the construction industry to improve its image. Construction sites, companies and suppliers voluntarily register with the Scheme and agree to abide by the Code of Considerate Practice, designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements. The Scheme's main areas of focus fall into three categories: the general public, the workforce and the environment.
Careers and Enterprise Company (CEC)
The Careers & Enterprise Company’s mission is to prepare and inspire young people for the fast-changing world of work. We support schools and colleges by linking them to employers and helping them deliver world class careers support for all young people.
