North West Cambridge Development

Skanska Contact

The North West Cambridge Development is the largest single capital project that the University of Cambridge has undertaken in its 800-year history. Outline planning consent was granted for the 150-hectare site in February 2013 for 3000 homes, 2000 post-graduate student bedspaces, 100,000 sq.m research space, a range of community facilities and open space. Construction began in 2013 and works are now well progressed on the first phase of development to transform open farmland into a new district of Cambridge and extension to Cambridge City.

This event will be delivered by the main contractor for the site-wide infrastructure, Skanska, with the University of Cambridge as principal developer.
