Dreadnought Building, University of Greenwich
Willmott Dixon Contact
We are refurbishing both internally & externally the existing Dreadnought Building for the University of Greenwich – the former Royal Naval Hospital which is a grade II listed building, as well as infilling the courtyard to create a new ‘Student Hub’. The building consists of 4 floors (basement, ground, first & second floors) with the most works taking place in the basement including structural demolition of vaulted brickwork to create an open plan student bar. The courtyard is being infilled with a mix of structural steel and timber features as well as two fully glazed lift shafts.
On your visit you will be able to see the pile caps/concrete courtyard slabs being constructed, render & window refurbishment, and mechanical & electrical fit out internally. The tour will include a safety briefing/induction including a briefing of what our works involve, a tour around site and a Q&A session to finish off.
