About the event
Canary Wharf Group in partnership with Kadans is developing the 823,000 sq ft 23-storey vertical science campus – Europe’s tallest and most technically sophisticated purpose-built lab building – it is one of the biggest commercial developments to commence in London in 2024.
One North Quay is a significant addition to our life sciences, health, and tech community, delivering fit for purpose, flexible lab space that offers a broad range of state-of-the-art facilities and offerings to support companies ranging from multinationals to start-ups, as well as educational establishments.
One North Quay aims to set a new benchmark for high-performance, energy efficient lab towers, with a low-carbon strategy implemented across the development. This includes highly insulated and airtight building fabric, with an optimised façade focused on carbon reduction and sustainable practices.
Activities
An overview of the development starting from 55 Upper Bank Street (CWCL’s North Quay Site Office). A short presentation will be given incorporating an overview of the North Quay Development and highlighting careers within the construction industry.
Site tour of North Quay to provide an insight into the practical delivery of construction and the careers within the built environment. Time to take in the views, take some photographs and ask any questions.
Staff working on North Quay will be available to answer any questions regarding the North Quay Development and construction techniques.
Full 5 point Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided and is mandatory for all those who wish to go out on the site tour. Trousers must be worn on site (no skirts, dresses or shorts are allowed).
