Tilbury Douglas are currently leading the refurbishment and reconfiguration of
part of the ground floor of the existing NHS Property Services facility, the Paybody
Building, to create a new Community Diagnostics Centre in Coventry. The new
facility is being delivered on behalf of the University Hospitals Coventry and
Warwickshire NHS Trust, and will be delivered through two phases.
The first phase will contain the majority of the works, creating an Imaging Suite
(1,286m2) which will consist of two MRI, two CT scanners, two ultrasounds and
X-ray. The refurbishment also includes support facilities, along with the main
entrance, reception and waiting space. Phase 2 contains the Physiological
Measure (419m2), which consists of five consult/exam rooms, three consulting
rooms and support facilities
Expect to see a range of engaging activities that bring construction to life.
Live demonstrations of machinery, learn how different trades work together, and observe safe working practices in action. Site tours will include: explanations of building materials, sustainability features, and how the project supports the local community.
Throughout the tour, staff are on hand to answer questions, and provide a detailed explanation highlight career paths in the industry.
Educational Visits:Visits limited to educational institutions only.
Minimum age: 11 years old
11+ due to PPE sizing options, we are unable to offer primary schools site visits on this occasion
Accessibility:At present, the site does not provide adequate accessibility, as the elevated cabins have no provision for safe, step-free access
