About us

CITB NI (Construction Industry Training Board Northern Ireland) is the Industry Training Board for the construction sector in Northern Ireland. Established for over 60 years, CITB NI is funded through a statutory levy paid by registered in-scope construction employers and works to support skills development across the industry.

As a small organisation with a highly experienced team, CITB NI provides a range of services including identifying skills and training needs, supporting employers and new entrants, promoting careers in construction, advising on training, providing training grants, and contributing to industry research, standards, qualifications and policy development.

Working closely with employers, training providers, educational institutions and government stakeholders, CITB NI supports construction businesses of all sizes across Northern Ireland. Through collaboration with industry partners, the organisation helps develop a safe, professional and fully qualified workforce, ensuring the sector has the skills needed to meet current demands and future challenges.
