This project is the Merseycare NHS Foundation Trust new medium secure facility based at Maghull Health Park "Rowan View". Construction of the state of the art building is gathering pace and the steel is erected providing a fantastic indication of how the final build will look.

The scheme consists of a 123 bed mental illness and learning disabilities medium secure facility split across 8 wards over a single floor with supporting accommodation.

Along with accommodation Rowan View includes therapy space, bespoke outdoor space and associated support accommodation and offices over two storeys.

Once completed, it will provide first class leading medium secure mental health facilities.

The building is predominantly single storey with phase development of the 8 wards over a large area. The structure is steel with roofing and walls now being installed.

You will have the opportunity to gain an insight into a new construction site where you will receive a comprehensive induction and project overview.

You will be shown the Building Information Modelling (BIM) information for the site which is a collaborative process and technology toolset. BIM enables lean, accurate and complete design information for an effective construction process and asset life cyle management supporting ourselves, clients and end users.

There will be an opportunity to discover the career opportunities that the built environment can provide through the "Shaping Your World" interactive display. You can explore the virtual Integrative Built Environment, create and share an avatar and meet experienced Built Environment representatives carrying out some of the 2000 diverse roles available within the Built Environment.

You will be provided with a managed site tour where key construction activities will be highlighted and you can meet the team who are helping to deliver Rowan View.
