The client, Manchester Airports Group (MAG) are undertaking a transformation programme at Manchester Airport that will position the airport as a ‘Global Gateway’, offering more routes and creating increased economic growth in line with aviation forecasts for growth.
As part of this development the airport are expanding their terminal facilities, apron space and customer car parking facilities to accommodate increased demand.
Galliford Try have been appointed to work on a brand new Multi-storey car park facility at Manchester Airport. Standing at a value of £44m and creating a 7,669 space new car park that will link to terminal 3 and have buses to the other terminals.
Work has already begun on this exciting project with installation of 1,088 450mm diameter by 18m long continuous flight augur piles for the foundations.
Visitors will be given a presentation introducing Galliford Try and an explanation of the three key projects PP03, PP04 and the Multi-Story Car Park by staff members from the different projects.
There will also be the opportunity for Q&A's throughout, and the chance to meet some of the operatives working on site, in addition to some of the Graduates working on these projects.
After this, visitors will be handed PPE and will be escorted on a tour around the live car park site to see all the work that is underway.
