Frimley Health Foundation Trust comprises of three hospitals within the region; Heatherwood Hospital, Wexham park Hospital and Frimley Park Hospital. Currently FHFT are commissioning the redevelopment of Heatherwood Hospital due to its inability to meet the requirements for modern health care. The provision of a new purpose built, single integrated facility on the Heatherwood site would enable significant improvement to clinical quality.

The new planned care centre located in the Woodlands will offer a better environment for FHFT patients and staff. It will also support a clear sustainable role for Heatherwood Hospital in the future. The Trust’s vision is simple, keep the elements that work so well such as a supportive community, committed staff and move them to a new facility that can help them deliver high quality healthcare on the same site. Heatherwood Hospital’s future is envisaged as a planned care centre, leaving the emergency care to take place at Wexham Park to the north and Frimley Park to the south. The BREEAM target for the project is to achieve a rating of Very Good.

The scheme will consist of 48 inpatient beds, 6 operating theatres and associated recovery and support space, procedure rooms for pain clinics and a new lithotripsy service, radiology department, oral maxillofacial surgery and Orthodontic Service and outpatient’s department with includes paediatrics, Phlebotomy, Physiotherapy and Orthopaedics. The space is split between private and NHS patients.
