This project is a rebuiling of the Church of Ascension which started in December 2018 and is due to complete in late 2020.
This is a grade 2 listed building, and a rare remaining example of work by Manchester architect James Medland Taylor. It was destroyed in an arson attack and following community fundraising and securing grants from English Heritage and The National Lottery it is now being rebuilt.
The project, worth £5 million, is an intricate and detailed project which is going to be of interets to any studnets who are interested in architecture and history.
Visitors will be taken on a tour around the site to get a chance to see the workthat is being undertaken and get the chance to speak to the site team and specialist contractors about the project and the work that they are undertaking.
