Plot A7 is Phase 3 of the Slate Yard Residential development in New Bailey, Salford which provides high quality living accommodation on the border of Manchester’s City Centre. 

The development comprises 199 apartments across 20 upper floors, with a main entrance area, lounge, gym and cycle storage facilities located on the
ground floor.

The 21 storey structure utilises a reinforced concrete frame with post-tensioned concrete slabs. The core was constructed using slip form core construction, and the foundations have been piled. Off-site construction methods have been integral to the project, with the installation of 300 bathroom and en suite modular pods. 

The site itself has presented complex technical challenges, in particular an extensive ground remediation strategy was required to tackle identified contaminated ground during initial site investigations.
