Skanska is carrying out the construction and mechanical and electrical engineering services for the development of 105 Victoria Street in London’s Victoria.
The new mixed-use building will deliver 500,000 sq ft of world-class office space, including a 5,500 sq ft incubator and affordable workspace. Designed for adaptability and longevity, it will accommodate evolving ways of working and provide universal access to outdoor areas, including extensive terraces with an urban farm and a unique ‘walk and talk’ track.
The development will serve genuine neighbourhood needs through a vibrant Village Square featuring independent retail offerings. A cycle ramp and stairway will lead to a multi-purpose sports arena and auditorium, suitable for activities ranging from PE classes to corporate events.
Sustainability and wellness are central to the design. The building will target BREEAM Outstanding and WELL Platinum certifications and is aligned with RIBA’s 2030 sustainability targets. The operational energy requirements will be fully met by renewable energy sources, while a zero-fossil fuel strategy will be implemented during construction.
Using advanced construction techniques, the project will minimise carbon emissions throughout the build phase, with the embodied carbon expected to be offset within six years of operation.
This forward-thinking development reflects Skanska’s continued commitment to delivering sustainable, community-focused projects that promote well-being and environmental responsibility.
Attendees will have a short presentation about the project, be able to speak to members of the team to understand the career options available in real estate, have a safety briefing and visit the site.
