110 The Queen’s Walk is the former London City Hall building in Southwark, London SE1.
Proposed plans designed by Gensler transform the office building into a mixed-use destination of the future. Together with a re-imagined public realm, it will be highly sustainable, biodiverse, activated and provide inclusive access.
The plan is to transform and re-purpose London’s former City Hall building into shops, restaurants and offices by removing the glass cladding to create green terraces in an office building with ground floor retail. The new design by architect Gensler and structural and mechanical and electrical engineer Waterman will also straighten the leaning profile of the building. This will be achieved by extending floor decks around the 10-storey building. The project will extend the interior space of the building from around 18,000 sq m to 22,000 sq m
Former headquarters of the Greater London Authority (GLA) and home to the Mayor of London and London Assembly.
Due to an agreement with the local authority, this opportunity is open to organisations based in London Borough of Southwark only.
